(Q1 2025)

This project was completed in 28.5 hours over the course of 3 weeks.

The purpose of this project was to create a visual aid for a presentation I gave for my college Geology final. While it is relatively simple, it serves to show my ability to design experiences outside traditional games.

The systems for the planet rotation and orbits is comprised through a chain of child blueprints that range from the simplicity of a celestial body rotating, to hosting an additional celestial body (such as the sun to the earth, or the earth to the moon).

To create the ability to speed up time I utilized a ‘Space Settings’ blueprint that holds a single timer, this timer is event dispatched to the varying orbit and rotation rotations with a float multiplier that equally increases every actors speed. I found this to be much more favorable in terms of adjustment, and preventing every celestial body from running it’s own individual timer.
